Days in the Life of a Young Mother -- Four Poems
Plop!
Why do I always
Have to slop
A mess on the floor
Right after I mop?
Efficiency?
Out of the freezer I take the fish,
For that is the food I have chosen.
Six hours later, I read the label:
For best results, keep frozen.
Shopping
Ive shopped all day
To find some shoes
I think are really fine.
They come in sizes
Three to six.
Too bad! I take size nine.
Growing Pains
Why is it that always
Right after I hem
My young daughters dresses . . .
Shes grown again?
